Dear Blog Readers,
I want to give you a brief update on my campaign. All is more than well on the front. Today I deposited a nice chunk O'change into my campaign account. I am honored that you who have given to me feel strongly enough about me and my campaign to give me your hard earned money. I know what a sacrifice that is. I will be sending out individual thank you notes to these very generous contributors but I also want to say thank you to you here. I have been on the speaking trail the last few weeks and have appeared before several groups, some as large as 60-70 people. The questions and the feedback from the public have been very good and it appears that the community is ripe for a change in the District Attorney's office. My billboard on I-10 has also paid off because it seems that everywhere I go, people know that I am running and most have seen the billboard. I have two appearances scheduled for tomorrow and one group has requested that I speak on the Brandon Moon case (see earlier blogs on Brandon Moon). And speak on the Moon case I shall.
According to my webmaster, the recent logs show that the hits on this blog go up daily with people in different parts of the country reading it. It appears that there are readers from different military bases keeping up with this race. And they vote absentee!
I have received a steady flow of calls at my office with people offering to volunteer, put up signs, walk their neighborhoods, hold gatherings for me to raise money or to just come and talk to them in order to get my message out. This is called Grassroots Power and it is the American way.
If you want to help please call my office at 565-3550. Any sized contribution is welcome. Any offer of support, monetary or otherwise is welcome. I have received checks ranging from $10 to $2,500. Every dollar will go to getting my message out and every dollar so far has been used in that way.
Sincerely,
TC
