See Picture of Esparza's Banner

A picture is worth a thousand words. For your viewing pleasure, if you go to the blog before this one entitled "Beware of Prosecutors Bearing Awards," I added a photo at the bottom of the blog today. At the very end of the blog, which you must read to understand the photo, there will be wording in blue "files" click on it.

Keep in mind this is a picture of the prize Esparza flew into hurricane weather, gale force winds, to get. This was also the prize that got him out of being cross-examined by me in a federal jury trial.

Question: (You must read referenced blog to understand). How do a bunch of prosecutors know that another prosecutor from out of town is good? I mean this is not like going to the dentist where you can tell your friend, "My dentist is great. The two hours of drilling was painless and my new tooth is a perfect fit." Since we know the inmates aren't making the decisions, how do they come up with these things, "Prosecutor of the Year?"

Enjoy!

That picture is a riot. Why didn't he use the two holes in the middle so it wouldn't look so sad? Couldn't he get the County to pay for some more string?

Maybe tomorrow we'll see him hanging over the railing fixing it after he reads this. And, by the way, we are almost halfway through 2007. When is he going to take this thing down? Or is it award time again?

Well Stuart, given that the Alberto Ocegueda case (see blog on him) is stinking like a cadaver at the court house and the SISD, and given that he didn't convince the jury to give the death penalty on a case he wanted the death penalty on and spent a fortune seeking it (Barry case) and given he has to retry the Renteria case for screwing up the punishment phase, methinks it is award time again.

As for the sign, Esparza can't take it down. Amazingly, it appears that it's the crown and glory of his 14 year disastrous career as the DA and it provides comic relief for those of us who know why it is there.
